I work as an associate professor in Professional Learning & Technology at the department of Educational Sciences, University of Twente. My main research interest is in self-directed professional learning at the workplace, with a focus on the technology and health sector. In my research projects, I develop innovative measurement techniques (e.g., using sensor technology, mobile apps) to understand and improve individual and team learning processes.

In addition, I am also studying learning and professional identity development of students in the transition from education to work. My dissertation, for example, was focused on student teachers’ self-directed learning.

I am a teacher in the program Educational Science & Technology and coordinator of the research program Learning of my faculty of Behavioural, Management, and Social Sciences -University of Twente.

I hope to update this website soon with more information on my projects, publications and more!
